Series to showcase distinctive features of Douglas County

The Pacific Ocean forms Douglas County’s western border and the Pacific Crest Trail runs along its eastern edge. At 5,071 square miles, the county has more land than Connecticut. The county could hold Delaware and Rhode Island and have room left over for Washington, D.C., Portland, Seattle, San Francisco and even sprawling Los Angeles.
