Police Log: Motorcyclist injured after colliding with animal in Roseburg

2:45 a.m. — The caller said his friend is abusive and has been drinking and assaulted him in the 300 block of Cascara Lane, Roseburg.

12:25 a.m. — Theft of $31 of gas in the 200 block of Southwest Fourth Street, Canyonville.

12:58 a.m. — A man was breaking glass and yelling in the 1500 block of Stanton Park Road, Canyonville.

2:50 a.m. — A man and woman assaulted the caller and took his keys and paperwork for his truck in the 100 block of Creekside Road, Canyonville.

7:56 a.m. — Theft of a tablet in the 23000 block of North Umpqua Highway, Idleyld Park.

12:01 p.m. — Theft of a chain saw and propane cannon in the 1600 block of Joe Hooker Road, Elkton.

12:07 p.m. — A man wearing a badge showed up at the caller’s residence and said he’s with the postal inspector and needed to monitor the residents in the area in the 100 block of McGinty Drive, Canyonville.

12:10 p.m. — Theft of a wallet in the 200 block of Emils Way, Roseburg.

12:31 p.m. — A white Jeep SUV pulled over on the offramp and had both doors partially open with beer bottles around the vehicle southbound on Interstate 5 near Milepost 154, Yoncalla.

1:16 p.m. — A man slammed a woman’s legs in his vehicle door, slapped her and threw her on some rocks in the 800 block of John Long Road, Yoncalla.

2:17 p.m. — The caller’s residence was burglarized and his vehicle stolen while he was in jail in the 300 block of Conrad Street, Myrtle Creek.

4:27 p.m.— The caller said his wife saw a drug deal at a bar in the 800 block of John Long Road, Yoncalla.

4:39 p.m. — A silver Mitsubishi sports car with no plates had its windshield smashed in the 2700 block of Buckhorn Road, Roseburg.

5:25 p.m. — The caller said her roommate went for a walk and hadn’t returned in the 200 block of Emils Way, Roseburg. The caller called her roommate’s cellphone and a man answered and said she sold him the phone.

5:26 p.m. — A man was lying on the side of the road near Old Highway 99 South and Carnes Road, Roseburg.

6:04 p.m. — The caller said he gave a homeless woman a ride and she stole his vehicle while he was eating dinner in the 10000 block of Upper Cow Creek Road, Azalea. He was able to catch up and got his vehicle back. The woman ran off into the brush.

7:38 p.m. — The caller said an older man handed a group of young teens what he believes to be drugs near Industrial Drive and Carnes Road, Roseburg.

8 p.m. — Two horses were in the road in the 2000 block of Upper Cow Creek Road, Azalea.

11:36 p.m. — A man stole the caller’s wallet after the caller gave him a ride in the 5100 block of Old Highway 99 South, Roseburg.

ACCIDENTS

3 a.m. — Possible motor vehicle accident northbound on Interstate 5 near Milepost 128, Roseburg.

6:37 a.m. — Rollover accident northbound on Interstate 5 near Milepost 80, Glendale.

1:15 p.m. — A vehicle hit the back of a freight truck southbound on Interstate 5 near Milepost 99, Canyonville.

6:22 p.m. — A vehicle slid into bushes and hit trees in the 100 block northbound on Interstate 5, Myrtle Creek.

7:04 p.m. — Two-vehicle accident near Johnson and Main streets, Canyonville. Possible injuries.

10:29 p.m. — The caller’s husband hit a cow or sheep on his motorcycle on Highway 138 East near Milepost 12, Roseburg. Her husband injured his leg and ankle. His Harley-Davidson was totaled.

11:02 p.m. — Two-vehicle accident near Old Highway 99 South and Grant Smith Road, Roseburg.

9:18 p.m. — The caller saw blue smoke, similar to campfire smoke, in the 3000 block of Hinkle Creek Road, Sutherlin. The caller was unable to locate it due to fog.

Rocky Lane Pearson, 55, no address provided, on suspicion of first-degree assault.

Jayme Fawn Carter, 36, of Grants Pass, on suspicion of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and unlawful entry into a motor vehicle.

Joshua Michael Halladay, 25, of Portland, on suspicion of fourth-degree assault, second-degree disorderly conduct and harassment.

Roseburg police

Jason Dale Johnson, 32, of Roseburg, on suspicion of unlawful possession of methamphetamine and a parole violation.

Michael Shaun Johnson, 32, of Roseburg, on suspicion of unlawful possession of methamphetamine.

Nicole Irene McDonald, 29, of Roseburg, on suspicion of first-degree theft.

Christopher Lee Spangler, 24, of Roseburg, on suspicion of first-degree theft.

Winston police

Ronald Larry Hanson, 38, of Roseburg, on suspicion of unlawful possession of methamphetamine and a parole violation.
