ROSEBURG Register now for landfill trip Organizers are taking lunch reservations and registration due Friday for a Sept. 11 field trip to the Douglas County landfill. Participants will meet at 11 a.m. at the landfill off Exit 121 of Interstate 5. Doug Nelson of Energyneering Solutions Inc., will explain the Landfill-Gas-to-Electricity project. Joe Powell of Douglas County Public Works will join the discussion, which is expected to adjourn at 2 p.m. The field trip is a community program sponsored by Lunch Bunch, a Roseburg-area discussion group.
