ROSEBURG Landfill field trip scheduled The public can take a field trip to the Douglas County Landfill from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday to learn more about how a company is making electricity from rotting garbage. Doug Nelson of Energyneering Solutions Inc. will explain the landfill-gas-to-electricity project. Joe Powell of Douglas County Public Works will join the discussion. The field trip is a community program sponsored by Lunch Bunch, a Roseburg-area discussion group.
