A 13-year-old cyclist who police sped out of an alley and directly in front of a car was injured Wednesday in Roseburg. Witnesses told police that Nicholas James Webb of Roseburg was riding a bicycle south in an alley approaching Lane Avenue at a high rate of speed. He entered the road and was struck by a taxi driven by Charles Walter Lewis, 60, of Roseburg. Webb sustained a broken wrist and other minor injuries. He was transported to Mercy Medical Center, where he was treated and released. No citations were issued, Roseburg police Sgt. Aaron Dunbar said. …
