A traffic stop Saturday morning on Interstate 5 north of Canyonville yielded two pounds of heroin concealed in the trunk of a car driven by two Vancouver, Wash. men, according to the Oregon State Police. Troopers stopped a 2004 Chevrolet Impala at 7 a.m. for speeding near Milepost 102. An investigation with the help of an OSP drug dog led to the discovery of the heroin.
