ROSEBURG Sauerkraut making workshop is Oct. 6 “Sauerkraut Time!” an annual demonstration and hands-on workshop, will be held at the Norm Lehne Garden & Orchards, on Oct. 6. The farm is located at 386 Cleveland Rapids Road. There will be two sessions: 10 a.m. to noon and 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. Ed Hoffman, a master food preserver, will teach the class. There’ll be a $6 fee for hands-on participation. Those participants should bring a one-gallon glass jar or a one-gallon food grade plastic jar with a wide-mouth opening.
