An Oregon State Police sergeant and senior trooper have been honored for rescuing and comforting a man they found in the snow last February in northeast Douglas County. Sgt. Dave Randall and Senior Trooper Don Frerichs received the Life Saving Award from the Oregon Peace Officers Association at a banquet Nov. 16 at Spirit Mountain Casino.
