The Oregon State Police are asking the public for information about a dead cow with meat removed found by a trooper Saturday. The trooper found the cow near the gate to Weyerhaeuser’s Callahan property west of Roseburg. The Angus female cow was described as black, with a small amount of white around its muzzle. Troopers said it had a very short horn on the left side and both ear tags were removed. The trooper said the cow was most likely from the Melrose or Flourney Valley areas.
