Snow stymied an attempt Thursday to repair a Southern Oregon Public Television transmitter that has been out of service for a week. SOPTV lost connection last Friday with the Channel 8 transmitter on King Mountain north of Grants Pass. The outage mainly affects viewers who use over the air antennas, according to SOPTV. SOPTV Director of Technology James Stephens said weather-related power outages most likely caused the problem.
