An Oakland man was found with a small amount of methamphetamine Thursday morning after he was detained for shoplifting, Roseburg police said. Bryon Jacob Scheel, 30, allegedly stole a sweatshirt from Absolute Moto Sport, 729 S.E. Stephens St., valued at almost $100 around 11:30 a.m., police said. Employees pursued and caught him after he fled the building and held him down until police arrived. Officers reported finding a small amount of methamphetamine on Scheel. Scheel was arrested on suspicion of possession of methamphetamine and third-degree theft and booked into the Douglas County Jail. He was in custody today in lieu …
