Naturalists to give talk at Douglas County Library

Naturalists Dale and Elva Paulson will give a presentation titled “Rare Encounters” about wildlife behaviors Jan. 23 at the Douglas County Library. The lecture, which will be hosted by the Umpqua Valley Audubon Society, will be at 7 p.m. at the library, 1409 N.E. Diamond Lake Blvd., Roseburg. The Paulsons will discuss rarely seen animal behaviors that are common occurrences in nature. Mammals, birds and insects that can be seen in Douglas County will be mentioned. Elva Paulson is wildlife artist and Dale Paulson is a retired soil scientist. They have been photographing wildlife since 1971 and presenting wildlife-related shows …
