Meetings set on plan to help senior citizens live independently

Three town hall meetings will be held to report on a plan to help senior citizens live independently. Douglas County Health and Social Services and the Senior Services Advisory Council will host the meetings. Last year, they held hearings on the Area Agency on Aging Plan. The plan determines priorities for funding to assist seniors. The advisory council will report at this year’s meetings about the findings. The meetings will be: 1 to 3 p.m. March 12 at the Douglas County Museum, 12:30 to 2 p.m. April 16 at the Riddle Senior Center and 12:30 to 2 p.m. May 14 …
