Douglas County sheriff’s deputies looking for burglary suspect

The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office said this afternoon deputies are looking for a Glide man in connection with a stolen pistol and rifle and several other burglaries and thefts in Douglas and Lane counties.

Caleb “Gator” Titus, 26, is described as 5 feet 11 inches tall and 180 pounds, with red hair and hazel eyes.

Sheriff’s detectives tried to arrest Titus at his home Friday, but he avoided arrest. Detectives did locate a Glock pistol that had been stolen in a burglary in Lane County and a .22-caliber rifle that had been stolen in a burglary in Douglas County.

Titus was recently seen driving a vehicle that was reported stolen in the Glide area, deputies said. The vehicle was recovered, but Titus was able to avoid arrest.

The sheriff’s office asked anyone with information on the location of Titus to call the Douglas County Communications Center at 541-440-4471.
