Warming Center receives aid
As our Warming Center season concludes, the Douglas County Housing & Homeless Coalition would like to recognize the generous contribution made by Value Clean Laundromat. By donating drop-off laundry service for our Roseburg warming center site, Value Clean played a vital role in ensuring that our homeless neighbors had a safe, warm place to sleep during dangerously cold weather.
This past winter, the Warming Centers opened on 13 nights and used a large number of sheets, heavy blankets, pillow cases, towels, and other linens. Thanks to Value Clean Laundromat, all these supplies — literally hundreds of pounds of laundry — were laundered and ready within 24 hours, so we could keep our doors open for those without shelter.
