Carma Cooper and Michael Evans were united in marriage Feb. 12 at Melrose Vineyards in Roseburg. The ceremony was officiated by the honorable Joan G. Seitz and followed by a reception.
Carma, a 1990 Roseburg High School graduate, was attended during the wedding by her mother, Lois Cooper Kennedy, and was escorted down the aisle by her stepfather, John “Pete” Kennedy. The bride’s family and friends in attendance were Burke Johnson, Mary Wescott, Liz and Gus Gombart, Rhonda Johnson, Sharon and Dennis Walker, Jenyan Martinez, Angelica Duffy and the family of Brandi and Russ Cooley.
Michael’s mother, Mary, and his best friend, Pete Gotch, both residents of Didcot, England, also attended the ceremony. Carma and Michael’s daughter, lliana Kathleen Evans, served as both bridesmaid and flower girl. The wedding couple dedicated the ceremony to their friends and family, past and present, most notably their late fathers, Brian Evans and Fred Cooper.
The newlyweds spent their honeymoon touring the Southern Oregon and California coast. They will make their home in England.
