YONCALLA — The league-leading Yoncalla softball team survived a challenge from North Douglas Monday, scoring three runs in the bottom of the seventh inning to take an 8-7 District 2 win.

Tabitha Shaw went 3-for-3 with a double and three runs, Whitney Ellis 3-for-4 with two doubles and two RBIs and Brandi Joslyn 2-for-4 with two RBIs.

“This was a good eye-opener, I hope, for us,” said Yoncalla coach Shane Joslyn.
