Prep Track: Henry, Simmons lead Oakland boys at Monroe

THURSDAY MEET

MONROE — David Henry and Braydon Simmons each won two individual events for the Oakland boys, who won a six-way meet at Monroe.

Savannah Swan won a pair of events for the Oakland girls, who also were first in their meet.

Henry clocked 11.63 seconds in the 100 meters and threw the discus 134 feet, 2 inches. Simmons was first in the 110 hurdles (18.35) and 300 hurdles (48.87).

Other winners for the Oakers were Chris Garrison in the 400 (59.50), Nathaniel Oberman in the 3,000 (10:42.32) and the 4x100 relay team of Garrison, Hayden Snow, Henry and Colby DeVasier (47.57).

Swan heaved the shot 33-9 1/2 and flung the discus 101-10. Other winners for Oakland included Cora Gallop in the 3,000 (13:27.05), Maria Sigl in the 300 hurdles (54.33), the 4x100 relay of Gallop, Swan, Jesse Herbert and Gabby Arts (56.17), and the 4x400 relay of Sigl, Arts, Herbert and Westbrook (5:30.98).
