Police Log: Myrtle Creek hit-and-run driver missing a bumper

Sunday

Douglas County sheriff

12:55 a.m. — A silver Acura heading north on Interstate 5 near Milepost 99 at Canyonville contained four intoxicated people.

7:24 a.m. — A wolf-husky mix was loose near the fire station in the 4200 block of Carnes Road in Roseburg.

7:54 a.m. — A driver hit some mailboxes in the 100 block of Wecks Road in Myrtle Creek and drove off, leaving behind a bumper.

9:21 a.m. — A woman in the 100 block of Molly Street in Glendale reported that a man slashed her rental car tires with her inside the car.

9:53 a.m. — A woman on Castle Avenue in Roseburg reported her ex was refusing to give back some of her belongings.

10:44 a.m. — A parent in Roseburg reported a 10-year-old child was being bullied at school.

1:09 p.m. — A woman reported a stolen vehicle near the intersection of North Gazley Road and Gazley Road in Canyonville.

4:16 p.m. — A person in the 1800 block of Highway 138 West reported that a man in a white Ford pickup was dumping garbage into Fords Pond.

5:21 p.m. — A man and woman were seen pointing guns in a field in the 5000 block of Buckhorn Road in Roseburg.

5:49 p.m. — A woman drove from a gas station in the 5100 block of Old Highway 99 South in Roseburg without paying for $19 in gas. The clerk believed the theft was unintentional.

6:14 p.m. — A caller at the football field in the 500 block of Chadwick Lane in Myrtle Creek reported two suspicious teen boys who had backpacks with tools sticking out.

7:27 p.m. — A woman reported that her neighbor in the 100 block of Silverado Court has been yelling at her and threatening to kill her cat.

8:50 p.m. — Two males were riding their bicycles on the wrong side of South Old Pacific Highway near the 400 block at Myrtle Creek.

9:23 p.m. — A man in the 400 block of Plat M Road in Sutherlin reported that when his ex-wife picked up their kids, he smelled alcohol on her breath and noticed an open container of alcohol in her vehicle.

9:26 p.m. — A person on Berthal Avenue in Canyonville noticed a light on in a house known to be unoccupied.

11:59 p.m. — A man and a child were yelling at each other in the 600 block of Reynolds Street in Canyonville.

Roseburg Police

5:30 p.m. — A 24-year-old man was arrested after attempting to shoplift beer from a department store in the 2100 block of Stewart Parkway.

6:45 p.m. — After hitting a 55-year-old woman in the face with a phone, a 20-year-old man was found by police passed out by the river in the 1700 block of Southeast Mill Street. He was arrested on suspicion of harassment, drinking in public and being a minor in possession of alcohol

Sutherlin Police

10:06 a.m. — Animal Control was requested in the 400 block of South State Street.

Douglas Norman Eason, 34, of Myrtle Creek on suspicion of methamphetamine possession and a parole violation.

Ricky William Lavrar, 31, of Yoncalla on suspicion of methamphetamine possession.

Myrtle Creek Police

Budford Thomas Harper, 26, no address provided, on suspicion of being a felon in possession of a firearm.

Sutherlin Police

Aubry Leon Tucker, 48, of Roseburg on suspicion of misdemeanor controlled substance possession and a felony probation violation.
