POLICE LOG: Car caught fire in a ditch

Douglas County sheriff

12:12 a.m. —A vehicle was on fire in a ditch in the area of Old Highway 99 South and Grange Road, Roseburg.

7:08 a.m. — Electrical fire in a sawmill in the 600 block of Riddle By-Pass Road. The power lines to the mill were on fire.

7:45 a.m. — A battery was stolen from a car in the 100 block of Pamela Court, Myrtle Creek.

11:48 a.m. — A lawn mower was stolen from a school in the 27000 block of Tiller Trail Highway, Tiller.

4:16 p.m. —A 66-year-old woman was hit by a car in the 100 block of Main Street, Riddle.

7:29 p.m. — A shop was broken into overnight in the 3600 block of Glenbrook Loop Road, Riddle.

11:24 a.m. —Two-vehicle accident in the area of Southeast Third Street and Huffman Street, Canyonville.

1:17 p.m. —Single-car accident on Interstate 5 northbound near Milepost 119. Unknown injuries.

7:48 p.m. — A woman spun out and hit a small pole on Interstate 5 southbound near Milepost 144. She had unknown injuries, but waved at the caller.

9:30 p.m. —Two-vehicle accident on Interstate 5 southbound near Milepost 108, Myrtle Creek. Unknown injuries.

Jonathan Michael Busch, 25, of Pendleton, on suspicion of being a felon in possession of a firearm and criminal mischief in the second degree.
