Roseburg man accused of obscene gestures toward drivers

A 51-year-old Roseburg man was accused of making obscene gestures and cursing at motorists at about 5:45 p.m. Saturday in the 1800 block of Northeast Stephens Street, police said.

Jay Cole Manka was arrested on suspicion of second-degree disorderly conduct and booked into the Douglas County Jail. He was being held today without bail.

Several motorists reported that Manka was in the street and that drivers were having to swerve around him. When contacted by officers, Manka threatened to fight, but he was taken to custody without incident, police said.
