Police log: Teenagers shooting slingshot at dog in Roseburg

These logs are the highlights of initial emergency calls and reports to the Douglas County Dispatch Center. They do not represent all the incidents or their final outcomes.



Douglas County sheriff

8:04 a.m. — A bus was found with a bullet hole above one of the windows in the 3600 block of Old Highway 99 South, Roseburg.

11:33 a.m. — A suspicious vehicle was found in the 16000 block of Elkhead Road, Oakland. The caller said the doors were off and a trail of blood extended from the car to the bathroom.

4:03 p.m. — Four or five teenagers were shooting a slingshot at a dog in the area of Hewitt Avenue and Atkinson Court, Roseburg.

5:14 p.m. — A newspaper carrier was driving the wrong way in the 8700 block of North Myrtle Road, Myrtle Creek. The vehicle was reportedly a small black pickup with a loud muffler.

10:44 p.m. — Reports of a Peeping Tom in the 400 block of Moreland Avenue, Riddle. A neighbor reported seeing someone creeping around, then the caller saw someone crawling along the bushes in his backyard.



Douglas County sheriff

8:35 a.m. — A truck went off the road and into blackberry bushes in the 2700 block of Hubbard Creek Road, Umatilla. The two occupants were standing in the bed of the truck and appeared uninjured.

3:48 p.m. — A 22-year-old man was complaining of back pain after a single-vehicle accident in the 3000 block of North Gazley Road, Canyonville.

Douglas County sheriff

John Clayton Pendergrass, 57, of Tenmile, on suspicion of unlawful possession of methamphetamine and a warrant for contempt of court.

Roseburg Police

Jolene Kay Fleming, 30, of Cottage Grove, on suspicion of identity theft, second-degree forgery, attempting to commit a class B misdemeanor, second-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument and use of another’s operators license.

Sutherlin Police

Daniel Bruce Dyer, 26, no location available, on suspicion of second-degree burglary, third-degree theft, second-degree criminal trespassing and a parole violation.
