A Springfield man told Oregon state troopers he was adjusting his radio just before rolling his car at 3:28 p.m. Friday while traveling north on Interstate 5 near Milepost 151.
Chad Boak, no age available, swerved left then overcorrected to the right and rolled his 2006 Toyota Corolla four times, according to state police.
The car came to stop in the east shoulder of the freeway, tipped onto the driver’s side.
OSP Sgt. Ken Terry, who responded to the crash, said Boak was found unconscious by the first witnesses to arrive at the accident but woke up and was able to exit out the rear window of the car.
Terry said a nurse stopped to assist and administered first aid until an ambulance arrived. He said the nurse’s identity is unknown.
Boak was transported to Mercy Medical Center in Roseburg. A Mercy spokeswoman said he was treated and released.
Terry said there were no passengers and traffic was not blocked by the accident.
