Roseburg man accused of disturbing bar, drunken driving

A 33-year-old Roseburg man is accused of causing disturbance at a downtown bar before driving away drunk Sunday night, Roseburg police said.

Harley James Tate was drinking at the Wild Rose, 805 S.E. Stephens St., around 10:15 p.m. when he vandalized the bar, police said.

Tate spit across the bar counter, threw and broke a glass beer bottle, kicked a karaoke machine and pushed a customer, police said.

He then got into a car and drove away.

Tate was soon arrested by the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office on suspicion of driving under the influence of intoxicants, police said.
