James William McGarvey

Age 73, of Myrtle Creek, Oregon, passed away on April 9, 2014.

He was born in Makanda Township, IL on December 26, 1940 to the late Ruth and William McGarvey. He married Diana on July 23, 1963.

They soon after moved to Oregon and settled in Myrtle Creek. He worked most of his career for Hannah Nickel mine and again for Glenbrook Nickel. James was an avid hunter and fisherman. during his off time, you could often find him fishing rod in hand, heading to the Oregon Coast or his favorite local fishing hole.

James is survived by his wife Diana; son, Joe McGarvey of Myrtle Creek; step-sons, David and Kenny Campbell, of Roseburg; brothers: Mike McGarvey of Canby, OR; Danny McGarvey of Vale, OR, John McGarvey of Myrtle Creek; sisters: Irene Neal of WA, Laura Prochaska of CO, Vicki Belski of Portland and Criss McGarvey of Portland; 18 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
