Donna Louise Allen-Carroll

Donna passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, May 1, 2014. Donna was born on March 11, 1954, in Anchorage, Alaska, to Donald K. Carroll and Patricia L. Carroll. She was raised in Pendleton, OR, later moving to and remaining in the Roseburg area for the past forty years. After moving to Roseburg, her and her mother continued to attend numerous Pendleton Round-up Rodeos.

Donna had many hobbies - she was an avid reader, enjoyed cooking up a special meal, gardening, sewing and attending several archaelogical digs with the U.S. Forest Service. Donna also enjoyed the outdoors which included trips to the Oregon Coast, camping, picking Chanterelle Mushrooms, four-wheel driving in the snow and an occasional fishing trip. She always enjoyed a good picnic. Donna enjoyed life!! She was a true giver to all and always enjoyed a good visit with family and friends.

Donna is survived by her father, Don Carroll of Denver, CO; mother, Pat Helfer of Roseburg; brother, Gibb Kingsley (Shannon) London, Deklan of Olympia, WA; sons, Jayme Allen of Silverton, Shawn Allen (Kelly) Bailey, Caitlin, Shawn Jr. of Salem, OR; Also her companion and soul mate of 25 years, Alan DeGroat; his daughter, Julie Marlin (sons) Tayler and Tanner of Roseburg; her special uncle Howard Hughes of Moscow, Idaho; long time good friend Rose Farrar of Glide. The family would like to say a warm thank you to the Roseburg Community Cancer Center and staff from Mercy Hospice.

There will be a private memorial at a later date.
