Raymond was born on January 27, 1974, in Roseburg, Oregon. He passed away on Thursday, May 8, 2014. Ray is survived by his daughter, Dezirae Marie Quiroz whom he nicknamed ‘Boo’. She was the light of his life. Also surviving is her mother, Sandra; his parents, Robert and Dixie Lee Quiroz; two brothers, Robert L. (Shelley)and Ron Quiroz; two nieces, Keela (Jacob) Sutton and their children, Dylan and Macy; Maria Quiroz; loving cousins, Chris (Ron) Jay, Asheley and Aubrey; Kim and Richelle; Curt (Nikki) and Chad; and numerous other family and friends.
Ray was a student at Douglas High School and attained his GED. He was a prep-cook at the Beef & Brew, worked for Michelangelos in Portland, painting high-end homes, and then went to work for RFP at Dillard (ply#2) for 17 years. He was a Huge Pittsburg Steelers fan. Snow skiing, and snow activities were also some of Ray’s favorites. He also enjoyed camping, rafting, and fishing. He also played guitar and loved to jam with family and had been teaching and practicing with his daughter Dezirae. Ray was loved greatly and will be missed always. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 24, 2014, 2 p.m., at Taylor’s Family Mortuary, 245 SW Main St. Winston, OR, 97496, 541-679-6983.
