RoseAnne Gard Duncan

RoseAnne passed form this life into the presence of Jesus, on Tuesday, June 17, 2014. Her sweet smile and loving heart will be missed by her family and friends. Her faithfulness will be remembered by all who knew her. She was born on March 16, 1936 in Fisk, MO, to Victor and Nellie Gard. She spent her early years in Idaho, her family then moved to Eugene, OR, where she graduated from Elmira High School. She attended Conqueror’s Bible College in Portland, OR. She then moved with her parents to Burns, OR. In the 1960’s she helped her parents establish Burns Pentecostal Church. She spent 30 years working for the school district as a secretary. In 1971 she married Rev. Titus Duncan and served as the pastor’s wife in Winston, Burns and finally Florence, OR. They retired in Sutherlin, OR, where they lived until his passing in 2013 and until her death. She was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Rev. Titus Duncan, her parents Victor and Nellie Gard, Her older brother Derl Gard, and two grandsons David Hokanson and Jeremy Hardage. She is survived by her brother Lowell and his wife Mary Carol from Twin Falls, Id, sister-in-law Imogene Gard of Ozark, Mo, daughter Tricia Duncan of Roseburg, OR, daughter Ileen and her husband Bill Hardage of Molalla, OR, and Mel and Leny Small of Florence, OR. Her grandchildren include Carl and Daryl Hokanson of San Antonio, TX, Amy Smith of Rosamond, CA, Duane, Justin and Travis Hokanson, Jason William, Joel and Josh Hardage and their spouses from the Portland, OR, area. Her family includes 24 great-grandchildren, 16 great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Services will be held on June 28, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. at Christian Life Center, in Roseburg, OR.
