Eva Janetta Cole

Age 92, of Drain, Oregon, passed away on June 28, 2014. She was born to Lenard and Carrie (Henderer) Ross December 21, 1921. Eva married Henry Ray Cole on February 7, 1940 in Roseburg, Oregon.

Eva was a homemaker extraordinaire. She logged, set chokers, and was a bookkeeper. She could fix anything and do anything, and she was a great organizer. She also enjoyed gardening, hunting, fishing, sewing, embroidery and canning. She was a member of the Church of Christ in Drain, Or, the OSU Home Extension Services and the Sunnydale Grange.

Eva was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, Ray Cole, and a granddaughter Violet Cole. She is survived by daughters Beth Keogh and Evelyn Cole of Cottage Grove, OR, Carolyn Palmer of Drain; OR. sons Donald Cole of Alaska and Lenard Cole of Drain, OR; and 10 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren.

A memorial will be held on Wednesday, July 2, 2014 at 2:00p.m. at the Church of Christ in Drain, OR. Burial will be at the Tyee Cemetery, Oakland, OR. Memorial contributions may be made to the Church of Christ in Drain, OR.
