Olson. Gerry moved to Sutherlin, Oregon after World War II and graduated from Sutherlin High School.

She married Norman Cecil Wilson on March 10, 1949, residing in Sutherlin until the mid -1970’s when she and Norman relocated to the Roseburg area. Gerry and Norman were married 65 years. Gerry is survived by her husband Norman, three children and their spouses: daughter Julie Ann McLellan of Tigard and her husband Michael, son Mark Norman Wilson and his wife Dawn, and son Kerry Earl Wilson and his wife Cliffie, seven grandchildren: Aaron Seehawer, Matthew Seehawer, Mark Wilson Jr., Andrew Wilson, Jodi Howell, Adam Wilson and Kiel Wilson as well as twelve great grandchildren. Gerry was always full of energy and fun. Growing up her nickname was “Spark Plug” and she was a light wherever she went. She was definitely the heart and light of her family.

Gerry worked for 1st National Bank, 1st Interstate Bank, and finally Wells Fargo Bank. She retired at the age of 62 after many years of service. She loved people and really enjoyed her position as Loan Officer at the bank. In those days, it was not a computer, but Gerry who decided who was “credit worthy” and who was not. Many a person benefited from her trust and judgment of character.

Norman and Gerry remained in Roseburg until 2004 when illness made a move closer to their children in Albany, OR necessary. Gerry will always be remembered by her family as both a loving mother and grandmother. We will always be missing you Mom.
