Linda Kay Houser passed quietly on the morning of July 17, 2012. No more suffering and no more pain after an eight year battle with ovarian cancer. Linda and her twin Larry were born on July 31, 1950 to parents Hazel and Harley Tedford in Lawrenceville, Illinois. She married David Houser on December 24, 1975. Linda bore two daughters, Anita Kay and Nancy Kay. Linda was so incredibly beautiful and her smile was as warm as the sun. She loved to garden and was an avid quilter and reader. She was quiet and soft spoken and enjoyed the beauty in nature. We will remember her inner and outer beauty, compassion, faithful love, laugh, strength, and perseverance. Linda is preceded in death by her father Harley Tedford. She is survived by her husband David Houser; mother Hazel Leah Tedford; daughters Anita Peters, Nancy Neal and her husband Will; sisters Anna Jane Almeida and her husband Al; Melody Tollefson and her husband Bill; brothers Larry Tedford; Ron Tedford and his wife Sandy; grandsons Nicholas, Jacob, and Tyler. There will be a celebration of life and remembrance held on August 4, 2012 at River Forks Park, 11 a.m. with a potluck lunch. Everyone that knew Linda or would like to support her family in cherishing her memories are welcome. In lieu of flowers please donate or give your time to help your local Hospice facility where the nurses are angels or to any local cancer center. We look forward to the day in which we will see her again and we will walk with her hand in hand in the majestic gardens of Heaven.
