Milton Chester Leach Jr.

August 17, 1942 - September 3, 2012

Milton Leach already battling cancer passed away at the age of 70, on September 3, 2012 as a result of a fatal gunshot wound. His family and loved ones were by his side when he drifted off to be with the Lord. He was born to Milton Chester Leach Sr. and Mary Lucetia (Odell) Leach (both deceased) in Sanger, California. Milton graduated from Sanger High school, and attended Palomar College where he earned degrees in Water Technology and Management. Milton was in the Army 101st Airborne where he continued to protect our country for 7 years. He was currently retired from the City of Roseburg, and worked for the Water Department for several years.

Milton is survived by his children: Sonya Carter of Oregon; Shawna Leach of Washington; Debbie Williams of Florida; Milton Leach III of California; Angel Howard of California and his step-daughter Ruth of Oregon. Milton had 19 grandchildren, five step-grandchildren, and one great-grandson. He was married to Rosemary Leach (deceased) from 1965-1970, and then to Sherry Leach from 1970-2000. Milton leaves behind many family and friends which he loved each and every one of them. He was a father figure and a great mentor to many.

A celebration of Milton’s life will be held on September 8, 2012 at Stewart Park at 1 p.m. Per Milton’s request in lieu of flowers he asked that everyone attending bring a food or beverage item as he wanted his loved ones to celebrate his life with family, friends, food, and drinks.

A Military burial will be announced as soon as possible.
