Age 91, of Drain, Oregon, passed away on December 19, 2012. She was born to Frank and Iva (Andrus) Wheeler on May 20, 1921 in Portland, OR. She married Worth H. Woolman on November 24, 1938 and graduated from Drain Union High School in 1939.
Beverly enjoyed baking and crocheting and spending time with her large and growing family. Beverly was a pie maker for the truck stop in Rice Hill and the best pie maker on I-5. She was a cook and baker for the family owned Polar Bar Café in Drain and a police dispatcher for the City of Drain’s Police Dept. She was also a life member of Rebekah’s and Eastern Star.
Beverly is survived by her son, Richard W. ( Shari) Woolman of Yoncalla; daughters, Peggy Ramer (Ernie Long) of Drain, Waneta (Hank) Dalton of Yoncalla, G.I. (Ed) Reipma of Bend, and Judy Shaw of Glennallen, AK; 24 grandchildren; 48 great-grandchildren; and 28 and growing great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Worth, sisters Gwen Olsen and Virginia Rhodes, and three half sisters, son Bill Woolman, step-daughter Barbara Duncan, grandsons Richard Woolman, Jr., David Sandlin, Jr. and Jerre Jackson, and granddaughters Deborah Kelly and Marcie Levenhagen.
A funeral service will be held at Drain Church of Christ on Saturday, December 29 at 1 p.m. with the burial to follow at Yoncalla-Masonic Cemetery. Visitation on Friday, December 28 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Smith-Lund-Mills Chapel in Cottage Grove. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may donated to Cancer Research through North Star O.E.S. Chapter #121, PO Box 601, Drain, OR 97435.
