Doris Louise Cramer

Passed away on Wednesday, February 6, 2013 at the age of 77. She was born in Gateway, Oregon on February 16, 1935 to parents Montie and Betty (Higginbotham) Akeyson. She was united in marriage to William Henry Cramer in 1954 and the two moved to Roseburg in 1964 to raise a family. Doris stayed very active in her kids lives and was involved in their school activities. She worked for Fowler’s Auto Body until her retirement. Doris enjoyed bowling, camping, cooking, baking and crabbing. The thing she enjoyed most was spending time with her family. She was a very strong person and a loving wife that took care of her husband through a long illness and remained independent and self-sufficient throughout her life. In later years, she enjoyed visits with friends and family. Doris cherished the time spent with her children and grandchildren, developing a very special bond with her granddaughter Danielle. She was preceded in death by her husband and parents. Doris is survived by daughters, Kristy and her husband Dick; Karla and her husband Jason; Kathy and her husband Lindon and sons, Bill and Curt; seven grandchildren three great-grandchildren; her brother Monty and a sister Jean as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Graveside services will be held on Monday, February 11, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Roseburg Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are under the direction of Taylor’s Family Chapel.
