Douglas basketball plans fundraiser
The Douglas High boys basketball program is holding a fundraiser on Saturday, a can/bottle drive which will run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Shop Smart. located at 151 NW Douglas Blvd.

Mitchell scores ace at UGR
Glenn Mitchell of Roseburg scored a hole-in-one on the par-3, 139-yard No. 6 hole at Umpqua Golf Resort last Friday.
Mitchell used a 6-iron the shot, which was witnessed by Ragen Garrison, Buddy Peterman and Rob Perkins.

RHS girls tennis sets fundraiser
The Roseburg High girls tennis team is holding a pancake breakfast fundraiser from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. on Saturday at Applebee’s, located at 2755 NW Edenbower Blvd.

Basketball tourney coming March 22-23
The Glendale boys basketball team is holding a fundraising basketball tournament for players ages 16-and-up on March 22-23 at the high school and grade school gyms.

ROSEBURG
10K, 5K runs on tap Saturday
The Roseburg Road Runners Club is holding its St. Patrick’s Dash to Green 10K and 5K fun run/walk fundraiser on Saturday, beginning at 9 a.m. at the south end of the Douglas County Fairgrounds.
Registration starts at 8:15 a.m. Both courses for the runs will take participants along the South Umpqua River, using the bike path. Cost is $10 for the 10K and $5 for the 5K.
