Roseburg woman pulled from car after crash

A Roseburg woman had to be extricated from her car Tuesday afternoon after she lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a street light.

Deanna Marie Wright, 43, was passing another southbound vehicle on Stewart Parkway near Valley View Drive around 3:15 p.m. when the vehicle spun out, police said.

She collided with the street light and dropped over a small embankment, police said. The car turned onto its side and trapped her inside.

Roseburg firefighters pulled her from the car, police said.

She was transported to Mercy Medical Center in Roseburg and was treated and released, a hospital spokeswoman said this morning.

Pacific Power, Charter Communications and Roseburg city crews responded to the accident because of downed lines and damage to the pole and a railing, police said.

Traffic was diverted, and all lanes were reopened just after 4:30 p.m.

Wright was cited for failure to maintain a single lane.
