Donald Leroy Bovee

Age 72, passed away on Monday, March 18, 2013 in Portland, Oregon. He was born on June 21, 1941 in Portland to parents Orval and Eleanor (Rowe) Bovee.

He was married August 20, 1961, in Portland to Joan Brink.

Donald was raised in Myrtle Creek, OR. He returned to the area in 1974, residing in the Days Creek area for the past 39 years. Before retirement he was the manager of Thunderbird Wood Products and spent 32 years as a volunteer fire fighter, chief, and later board member of the Milo Volunteer Fire Department. He was an Elder of the Milo Academy Adventist Church.

Survivors include: his wife, Joan Brink Bovee, Days Creek, OR; sons: Leroy Bovee, Hilo, HI; Randy Bovee, Shawnee, KS; Joe Bovee, Springfield, OR and Jeffrey Bovee, Shillington, PA; mother, Eleanor Bovee, Canyonville, OR; brothers: Lesley Bovee, Myrtle Creek, OR; Harold Bovee, Myrtle Creek, OR; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

A memorial service was held at 6:30 p.m., March 20, 2013 at the Milo Adventist Academy Church.
