Born on December 16, 2000, passed away suddenly on March 31, 2013, from complications of a seizure and cardiac arrest. His loving family was by his side. Skyler was born in Seattle, Washington at the University of Washington Hospital to parents Shelly (Kendrick) Steele and Tom Steele. He joined brother, Bradley, sisters, Patti, Becki and Keri, a big military family stationed at Naval Air Station Whidbey Island. The family moved to the Roseburg, Winston, area when Skyler’s dad retired from the Navy after 20 years. Skyler attended Head-Start, then Brockway, a brief move to Hucrest, then right back to McGovern Elementary School. He loved school, his friends, his teachers, he was a great artist and loved to draw pictures and tell stories. He loved “kick-ball” his favorite thing in life he would say! Skyler always had a little mischievous grin on his face when he was about to do something he wasn’t suppose to do, and after he would just smile and say oops.... Gotcha... In his little life he meant the world to so many people. Skyler was funny, witty, helpful, wanted to tell everyone about the “world as he see’s it” full of Spiderman, Transformers and Good-guys beating the “evil” His greatest wish was to someday be a “Motorcycle Cop”. Skyler is survived by his loving dad and mom who will hold him in their hearts forever, Tom and Shelly (Kendrick) Steele; sisters: Patricia Ann; Rabecca Marie; and Keri Cole; brother-in-law, Tyler Cole and brother and best friend, Bradley Steele; He was preceded in death 28 days ago by his “Nani” Judy A.
