Jeanne Crume

Age 79, Myrtle Creek, Oregon, passed away on Tuesday, March 26, 2013. Jeanne was born on August 13, 1933, in Pearl, Texas, to Audrey and Verna Braswell. She married Glen Crume on March 15, 1951 in San Bernardino, California. Jeanne played the piano at the Adams House in Myrtle Creek and at Forrest Glen in Canyonville. She was the pianist and Organist for Pomona First Church of the Nazarene in California from 1966 to 1996 then played for the Umpqua Community Church in Tiller, Oregon and at the First Church of the Nazarene in Myrtle Creek, Oregon, for Sunday services and senior citizens Sing A Longs with her husband Glen Crume from 1996 to 2012. Jeanne also played the accordion and the ukulele. Jeanne played for countless weddings and funerals. Jeanne and her husband Glen had just celebrated their 62 wedding anniversary. She and her husband owned and operated Towne Ave Convalescent Hospital in Pomona California from 1966 to 1992. Jeanne was the Activities Director and Social Services Director. She was a devoted wife and mother, sister and friend. Jeanne belonged to the First Church of the Nazarene, Pomona Rotary Club, Paul Harris Fellows. Alumni of Pasadena College.

Jeanne is preceded in death by her parents, Audrey and Verna Braswell; brothers Al and John Braswell. She is survived by her husband, Glen Crume; son, Daniel Crume; daughters: Renee Murphy; Darla Lorenzen; Brothers: Chuck, Jim and Art Braswell; seven grandchildren: Dana Wilson; Sara Taylor; Jeremy Crume; Nathan Crume; Sadie Crume; Alex Lorenzen; Mathew Lorenzen; and five great-grandchildren: Taylor Wilson; Nathan Crume; Tyler Crume; Lola Crume; Boaz Taylor. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, April 7, 2013 at the Myrtle Creek First Church of the Nazarene. A viewing will be held on Friday, April 5, 2013 from 4-6 p.m. at Taylor’s Mortuary Winston Oregon. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Channey House Medford Oregon and Hope Pregnancy Center Roseburg Oregon.
