Douglas County sheriff’s deputies arrested a Drain woman early today after they say she left her methamphetamine on the counter of the Pilot Truck Stop in Rice Hill.
At 12:28 a.m., clerks reported that Tonya Marie Dusa, 30, had purchased several items at the convenience store but left behind her sunglasses case on the counter, according to the sheriff’s office. Baggies found in the case contained a glass pipe and crystal-like substances that tested positive for amphetamines, according to the sheriff’s office.
After reviewing surveillance footage, deputies tracked Dusa to a nearby motel. She was arrested on suspicion of methamphetamine possession and a probation violation.
She was taken to Douglas County Jail, where she was held in lieu of $5,000 bond.
