Dorothy ‘Dottie’ Jean Bacey

Age 85, of Roseburg, Oregon, passed away at Riverbend Hospital in Eugene on Monday, May 6, 2013, of Vasculites. Dottie was born July 9, 1927, to Carl and Margret Kressen in Nabraska City, Nebraska. She graduated from High School in 1947. Dottie lived in Escondido, California, where she worked at Madison Chemical and the Escondido High School doing Secretarial work. She moved to Roseburg eight years ago. Dottie loved her home, gardening, volunteering at the Dream Center and working at the information booth at New Life Christian Center.

She is prededed in death by her loving husband, Richard in 1984; her two sisters: Rosie Easton; and Margaret Kristoff. Surviving Dorothy is her daughters: Diana (Pat) Skaja of Roseburg; and Jeannie (Ron) Barber of Kane’ohe, Hawaii; son, John Charles Bacey (Marla) of Gila Bend, Arizona; also surviving are two brother-in-law: Rocky Easton and Harry Kristoff all of Anaheim, California; along with nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
