Verna “Madge” Parret

Passed away at home on May 6, 2013 . Madge as she was known to family and friends was born on December 19, 1919 in Codys Bluff near Nowata , Oklahoma to Alta(Allen) and John L. Armstrong. She was very proud of Cherokee and Delaware ancestry as many of her relatives were listed on the Dawes Indian Roll of the territory of Oklahoma.

Madge was married to Charles l. Parret, in Independence , Kansas on October 4, 1939, a union that lasted 63 years, until Charles passing in 1992. They had four children Phillip, Linda, twins Ronny and John.

She was proceeded in death by Charles; two infant sons; mother and father; brother, Preston WWII; sister, Nondis; brother, John.

She is survived by her daughter, Linda; husband, Dean Pfaender; grandchildren, Delinda Gauntz husband Doug; Daren Pfaender; all of North Bend OR; son, John Parrret, Tenmile OR; his daughters: JoLynn, Jessie, Jeri, and Jamie and husband Herbert; sisters: Sandra Boswell and Alberta Van Noy of Lakewood, CO; and numerous great-grandchildren.

She was cremated and buried at Noah Cemetery in Camas Valley on June 2, 2013.
