Teddi, 76, left us on Tuesday, August 20, 2013, at OHSU after a long struggle with cancer. She was born February 9, 1937, in West Bend, Wisconsin, the daughter of John Rolfs and Hildegard Geib Rolfs, and the youngest of six children. Teddi was well known as a vivacious, outspoken and outgoing woman with a strong passion and love of animals. She was a beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She was raised in Alta Dena, CA. After graduating high school, she studied at UC Davis where she met her first husband, Sergio Alejandro Mora Gonzales. They moved to Valdivia, Chile in August of 1964, and she went on to raise four boys: Andrew, John, Sergio, and James. During her time in Chile, she worked for the U.S. embassy, was the first woman in Chile to ride in a rodeo, raised Collies, and traveled to Brazil and Costa Rica. She also traveled to Europe and Australia. She returned to California in 1976 and married Allan Anesko on September 17, 1987, in Poipu, Kauai, HI. In 1992, Teddi and Allan moved to Oregon. They spent many years enjoying their little slice of heaven on their ranch in Azalea surrounded by nature and their multitude of cherished animals. In 2005, they moved to Sutherlin, OR where she continued to live life to the fullest. Teddi’s engaging spirit and courage to take the path less traveled changed the way people viewed life in the places she lived.
She is survived by her husband, Allan Anesko; her siblings: Father Richard Rolfs; John Rolfs; Mary Rolfs; and Barbara Mernard; her four sons and stepson Greg Anesko; and her 17 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father, John Rolfs; her mother, Hildegard Rolfs; and her eldest sister, Muriel Rolfs.
Her family will be having a celebration of life service in Laguna Woods, California, at St. Nicholas Catholic Church performed by her brother, Father Richard Rolfs. The date has not yet been confirmed.
