Wayne E. Anderson

2/12/53 - 8/30/13

Wayne E. Anderson went home to Heaven peacefully, Friday, August 30, 2013 at the age of 60, with his family by his side. Wayne was born to Clarence and Alma Pitt Anderson on February 12, 1953 in Roseburg, Oregon. He graduated from Roseburg High school in 1972. Wayne was a hard working, outdoorsman. He chose to go to work in the timber industry where he worked for 40 years leaving Oregon in 1999 to be with family and work for Viking Lumber on Prince of Wales Island in Alaska. Wayne returned home to Oregon in 2006. His family was his priority throughout his life. He was a great brother to Delbert and Brenda Anderson, Kenneth Roberts and his sister Dawn, and Randy Sox. Wayne married Terri Pierce on August 9, 1980 with whom he had four children: Jacy who is married to David Pierson and resides in Alaska; Elizabeth who is married to Joe Hermanson and resides in Oregon; Haley Anderson who resides in Alaska; and Chadd Anderson who resides in Washington. Wayne also had four precious grandchildren: Ashlyn and Joseph Hermanson who reside in Oregon; Devin and David Pierson who reside in Alaska. He was known as “Papa Wayne” to many, especially Chloe and Sierra Paroz, and Tyson Anderson. Wayne had numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Clarence Anderson; and nephew, Jacob Anderson. Dad, you will never be forgotten and forever you are in our hearts. Love you the Mostest!!

A potluck celebration of life is scheduled for Saturday, September 28, 2013, at Whistlers Bend Park and campground at 4 group site B. For any further info contact:
