Bob Crocker (Captain Bob) was born in Monroe, OR, to Gertrude and Tyke Crocker. His first 43 years were spent in Oregon, where he raised pigs, drove a semi truck and owned his own small business in Portland. It is also there that he met his wife, Sue Ann Sadler. They were married for 53 years. In 1976 Bob moved his family to Alaska. He built his first commercial fishing boat there in his garage. Once that was complete, he built a house - start to finish. He spent his final working years owning and operating Capt. Bob’s Charters in Seward, Alaska. When Alzheimer’s began to take him in the early 2000’s, nobody expected him to fade away. There was a half built amphibian airplane in the back yard for heaven’s sake! Today he explores the wilderness in Heaven and is survived by his wife, Sue; this two brothers: Rod and Philip; his three daughters: Pam, Cindy and Luann;his two sons: Robert and Jason; along with 12 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. We miss you Bob, happy fishing! Services were held at Willamette Memorial Cemetery in Albany, OR. Appreciation to the Emeritus at Manor House employees for your comfort and care for the years Bob lived there.
