Roseburg police say woman tried to flee

A 22-year-old woman tried to run from police after a traffic stop and was arrested on suspicion of escape and disorderly conduct, according to officials.

Roseburg police say they spotted Danielle Renee Allen in a SUV around 3 p.m. on Harvard Avenue near West Balff Street. Officers knew she was wanted for a parole violation and stopped the vehicle, police said.

Allen ran across Harvard Avenue, but was quickly caught and arrested, police said.

A bag of marijuana was found in her bag, police said.

She was booked into the Douglas County Jail on suspicion of third-degree escape, second-degree disorderly conduct and a parole violation.

She was being held today in lieu of $10,000 bail.

The driver, Olivia Suzanne Bass, 23, was arrested on suspicion of drunken driving. She was taken to jail and subsequently released. Neither suspect has a permanent address, police said.
