Letter: People, incomes are not alike

Free society or income equality

Oh, Lord, here it comes: the endless parade of sad and pathetic stooges dutifully lining up behind our young president, beaming and basking in the golden glow of their newly discovered and celebrated victim status.

To be a victim, by the way, seems to be the pinnacle of achievement in this current incarnation of the Democratic party. Victimhood is to the modern Democratic party as sainthood is to the Catholic Church.

But income equality is not possible in a free society. Let me say that again: Income equality is not possible in a free society. Period. Only a fool, a Marxist/socialist/collectivist or a freedom-hater would even try.

But I guess I just described Barack Obama, and believe you me, he will certainly try. Besides, it will be a great manipulation and distraction from his current failures and an effective weapon with which to browbeat Republicans ahead of the 2014 elections.

Income inequality, just like and because of, human inequality, is a veritable truth that no amount of envy and jealousy can change.
