Police log: Woman objects to neighbor butchering horse

Friday

Roseburg police

4 p.m. — A woman was arrested on suspicion of using a Florida woman’s credit card to make a purchase at a store in the 700 block of Garden Valley Boulevard and attempting to make additional purchases at two stores. According to police, Shawna A. Dominguez, 20, of Myrtle Creek was contacted attempting to pick up more than $1,000 in property and was arrested without incident on suspicion of identity theft, computer crime and fraudulent use of a credit card.

11:15 p.m. — A motel employee in the 700 block of Corey Court reported the sound of glass breaking at a nearby unoccupied residence. A Roseburg man was arrested without incident on suspicion of trespassing.

11:27 a.m. —A caller wanted to know if there is anything she can do about her neighbor butchering a horse in the 18000 block of Dixonville Road in Roseburg.

12:20 a.m. — A man sleeping behind a vacant building in the 1300 block of Northeast Stephens Street was cited on suspicion of drinking in public and prohibited camping.

4:57 p.m. — Two Roseburg residents were contacted in the Kmart parking lot on Stewart Parkway after they had reportedly been trying to break into a vehicle there. One was found with Kmart merchandise police believe she had stolen.

2:35 a.m. — A Roseburg man was arrested after he was found fighting with several people in the 400 block of Southeast Jackson Street. Justin Ryan Hall, 30, was arrested on suspicion of disorderly conduct and criminal mischief. He allegedly pushed another man into a business window and shattered it.

8:55 a.m. — Two transients were arrested on suspicion of criminal trespass, criminal mischief and offensive littering after breaking into a building in the 700 block of Corey Court and leaving empty beer cans and feces inside.

3:55 p.m. — A noninjury vehicle accident was reported at the intersection of Stephens Street and Washington Avenue in Roseburg. Jimmie Joseph Eberly, 66, of Roseburg was cited for failure to obey a red light. His car collided with a second car at the intersection.

6:20 p.m. —A noninjury vehicle accident was reported at the corner of Stephens Street and Oak Avenue in Roseburg. Karen Lavon Krug, 61, of Roseburg was cited on suspicion of failure to obey a red light. Her car collided with a second car at the intersection.

3:30 a.m. — A hit and run accident was reported at the intersection of Rolling Hills Road and Austin Road in Roseburg.

6:28 a.m. —A noninjury accident was reported with a truck down an embankment at the 1700 block of Buckhorn Road in Roseburg.

8:02 a.m. — A noninjury accident was reported in the 1700 block of Buckhorn Road.

2:36 p.m. — A side by side rolled down the hill and male and female occupants asked a passer-by to call for help in the 3500 block of Salmon Harbor Drive at Winchester Bay.

4:56 a.m. — A trailer fire in the 200 block of Emils Way in Roseburg.

Roseburg Fire Department

5:12 p.m. — A large structure fire at Kuebler’s Furniture in the 1100 block of Northeast Stephens. Stephens Street was shut down after emergency crews arrived on scene and remained closed until 1 a.m.
