Letter: No comparisons between Obama and Carter, please

More respect for Pres. Carter

Once again in the print media, I read a comparison of Barack “Red Line” Obama with Jimmy Carter, former president. I feel this comparison is very unfair.

Allow me to establish that I did not vote for Mr. Carter. Nevertheless, there was no doubt as to his spiritual predilections. There was no doubt regarding his patriotism, or his national loyalties. There was no doubt about his place of birth. And, certainly, Jimmy Carter wasn’t a liar.

Let’s not besmirch the memory of his earnest attempts to be a proper president of this nation by placing him on the same level as that great fool now inhabiting the White House.
