Our children need protection A Dec. 16 front page article in The News-Review on Rep. Dennis Richardson discussed guns in our schools. Richardson is exactly right. We should not send our most vulnerable children into harm’s way and that is exactly what we are doing. The response from Police Chief Tim George is dead wrong. We must protect ourselves and our children; the police cannot be everywhere. His comment that “Teachers don’t go into teaching to be police officers” is right.
